I am a third-generation Bainbridge Islander. My mother’s father was born at the Port Blakely Mill in 1906, and my father’s parents immigrated from Croatia and homesteaded in Eagledale in 1931. I graduated from Bainbridge High School and earned a degree in International Affairs and Spanish from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma.
My early career took me to San Francisco, where I worked at San Francisco State University (SFSU), researching multimillion-dollar federal grant opportunities for faculty. I created complex budgets and facilitated partnerships with faculty and a wide range of stakeholders. I also directed the San Francisco branch of the Center for Public Environmental Oversight. During this time, I pursued my passion for well-being and earned a California State teaching certificate from the Iyengar Institute of Yoga.
In 2001, after traveling the world for a year with my husband, we returned to Bainbridge Island to raise our family. While travel opened my eyes to the richness of the world, it also deepened my appreciation for the beauty of home. It’s been a true gift to raise our two boys in the community where I grew up. I’ve remained an active volunteer in their schools and continue to love being part of this vibrant, close-knit community.
Becoming a Broker/Realtor® was a natural evolution of my passions for community connection and helping others navigate meaningful transitions. My experience at SFSU strengthened my skills in clear communication, stakeholder engagement, project management, and strategic planning. My years as a yoga instructor bring a calm, centered approach to real estate—especially helpful in what can often be a stressful process.
